MSL Slovakia

Mission

Almirall has recently opened an operative affiliate in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to launch a promising biologic product for Psoriasis and Atopic dermatitis in Czech and Slovakian market, commercialize our existing product portfolio and prepare the affiliate for the market entry of future products out of Almirall's’ pipeline. The affiliate is still in the growth phase, and to support this we are looking for you, as the MSL for Slovakia.
The MSL will represent the company by providing scientific support, maintaining an appropriate dialogue based on equity and information in a non-promotional context to develop professional relationships with external customers oriented towards advising, scientific information and clinical research.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the multidisciplinary infield team in terms of cross-functional cooperation, e.g. with marketing and sales.
• Provide expert medical/scientific advice for assigned products and related therapeutic areas, including responding to requests for medical/scientific information. 
• Plan and conduct medical trainings for external and internal stakeholders including the development and updating of relevant training materials and briefing slides.
• Interact with Medical Experts (MEs)/Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to identify and fulfil unmet medical needs. Further evaluate prospective MEs based on medical/scientific criteria. Conduct scientific discussions in a non-promotional manner with the identified MEs and build resilient relationships through personal scientific research exchange of information considering the relevant medical account and tactical plan.
• Participation in international, national, and regional congresses, symposia and advanced training events.
• Plan, organize and conduct scientific programs, which are topic-based presentations to a group of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) for the purpose of scientific/medical exchange.
• Identify and implement further medical initiatives (e.g. advisory boards, round tables, discussion, etc.) and project opportunities in the field based on insights generation.
• Data Generation: Active participation in planning and conducting of medical activities e.g. non-internationals studies (NIS), investigator-initiated trails and support clinical trials PhII – IV, etc.   
• Ensure compliance with all applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, Almirall policies and procedures and accepted standards of best practice.
   

Education

• Successfully completed studies in human or veterinary medicine, biology or pharmacy.
• PhD would be an asset.
   

Specific Knowledge

• High interest in scientific communication.
• Good written and fluently spoken English.
• Strong communication skills and a confident manner.
• A high degree of initiative and flexibility.
   

Experience

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry. 
• Preferably at least one year of experience as MSL, experience in Dermatology or Immunology is an advantage.
