Intern / Becario/a Digital Health Program
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Data science team as a Digital Health Program Intern. This internship will focus on the integration of novel digital devices into our ongoing clinical trials. The intern will work at the interface of clinical trials and digital health, supporting the team in integrating digital technologies into the clinical studies to collect and analyze real-time patient data. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in digital health to gain practical experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.
The duration of the paid internship will be 6 months, with the possibility of extension to 12 months based on performance. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical sector, specially into the digital healthcare field and contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of clinical research and digital health.
Task and responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of protocols for collecting real-time patient data from digital devices.
- Support the digital activities that are ongoing with clinical research organizations.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, clinical operations, data management, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs, to ensure smooth integration of digital initiatives.
- Support the setup, configuration, and do follow-up on troubleshooting of wearables implemented in clinical trials.
- Collaborate with data analysts to clean, analyze, and interpret digital health data collected from the studies.
- Document and report on the progress and outcomes of the ongoing projects to team members and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in digital health technologies (DHTs) and clinical trial regulations to inform decision-making and ensure compliance.
- Support other activities focused on promoting digital knowledge within the different business areas.
Education
University degree complemented with a PhD, MSc, MBA in a relevant field, such as life sciences, health informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
Specific knowledge
- Qualification in Project Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in clinical research and digital health technologies.
- Familiarity with clinical trial protocols, data collection methods, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages, data visualization tools, or statistical software is a plus.
