Mission

 

We are seeking a Data Management Engineer Trainee to join the AIDE group (Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering) at R&D Data Science team. The ideal candidate will help to organize data from our R&D laboratories, as well as helping to overseeing manage data processing channels to support our research pipeline. The candidate may be involved or helping in the following tasks:

Your main tasks:

 

  • Data Model Development: Defining data models / schemas and ingestion pipelines in our R&D LIMS (Laboratory Information Managing System) system.
  • Data Processing Pipelines: Maintain and utilize channels for processing various laboratory data types, focusing on chemical and biochemical assay data into our LIMS and data visualization systems.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaboration with internal chemical and biological R&D laboratories to understand their data needs, and with IT for data management issues.

Knowledge

 

Bachelor’s degree or M.Sc./M.Eng. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Job requirements and skills

 

  • Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic for Applications.
  • Strong programming skills (Python preferred) (Other languages will be a plus).
  • Strong data management skills (SQL Databases, Oracle SQL is preferred).
  • Experience (or willingness to learn) with data management and LIMS systems is a plus.
  • Good presentation and communication skills, explaining complex analytics concepts to colleagues at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary place.
  • Fluent in English (C1 Proficiency desired)
