Associate Bioinformatician (temporary)
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of large omics datasets from both internal efforts and public data, including proteomics, genomics, and transcriptomics datasets.
- Develop data visualization tools to enable interactive investigation and visualization of analysis results.
- Collaborate with scientists from Disease Biology to manage and design the generation and analysis of data for new relevant technologies, aiming to find new targets or support projects in the R&D pipeline.
- Work with data engineers to define the main steps of omics data processing pipelines that are fit for purpose to the R&D organization.
- Assist in the design of computational methods and visualization tools to generate actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Maths, or Biology.
- Basic understanding of human pathophysiology, with a special interest in immunology and dermatology.
- Good communication skills to convey technical outcomes to non-technical colleagues.
- Experience with analyzing data from different omics techniques.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or biotech is a plus.
- Programming skills in Python or R.
- Knowledge of statistics, especially when analyzing omics data.
- Experience with machine learning is nice to have.
