POSITION SUMMARY / MISSION

Ensure and coordinate through all company areas the introduction of global strategic innovative biological pharmaceutical products to markets worldwide, ensuring that new offerings align with company strategy, regulatory requirements, and market demands to improve patient outcomes globally. While also managing the lifecycle of all existing products and any other strategic and tactical product introductions for all countries coordinating all company areas.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integrated Business Planning (IBP):
    • Support the product stage of the Integrated Business Planning process.
    • Ensure alignment of product planning with company strategies and market demands, contributing to a healthier and more profitable product portfolio.
  • New Product Introduction:
    • Lead and guide the launches teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
    • Oversee and manage cross-functional project teams, regulatory, marketing, medical, sales, finance, quality assurance, and industrial operations, to drive successful product launches and introductions.
    • Apply continuous improvement principles to optimize the launch process for all company products, from various sources and for all global markets.
    • Time to market optimization and value proposal maximization ensuring global profitability in line with company standards.
  • Product Discontinuation:
    • Identify products for discontinuation, evaluate impacts, and implement effective discontinuation strategies.
    • Coordinate cross-departmentally to manage the phase-out process, mitigating any negative impacts.
  • Product Change Coordination:
    • Manage changes to finished products, particularly in packaging, stemming from regulatory requirements, marketing strategies, or production needs.
    • Plan and coordinate these changes across various departments, ensuring compliance and minimal disruption.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with managed projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze project performance, implementing strategies to maximize value and profitability
  • Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation within the internal team and with all involved teams at global level, encouraging creative approaches to problem-solving and product introduction.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Master´s degree in Health Economics, MBA or project management is desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in leading new product introductions, product lifecycle management and/or global project management.
