Mission

  • Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Manager is a business partner to the internal clients. He/she works collaborative with peers and other stakeholders in the organization and is accountable for advising on strategic and relevant, routine commercial transactions in Spain and across geographies. His/her tasks include drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and providing legal advice regarding the related commercial transactions

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including agreements, and policies.
  • Analyze and advise on different kind of regulations.
  • Collaborate with others in the global general counsel team to ensure consistency and alignment with the company's legal strategy and standards.
  • Serve as advisor to assigned internal business partners such as procurement, manufacturing operations, R&D, clinical operations, providing legal guidance on projects and business opportunities and implementing key risk management strategies.
  • Work closely and manage relationships with legal service providers as directed, to ensure that the best services are provided to the company at reasonable cost.
  • Collaborates with colleagues on projects for standardization and efficiency.

Education

  • Bachelors in law or equivalent degree in Law.
  • Post-graduate studies (MBA, LLM) is a plus.

Experience

  • In-house or law-firm total minimum experience of five (5) years. Such minimum experience is required to advise operations and business units in local and international settings.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
  • International experience is preferrable.

Specific Knowledge

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as antitrust, contracting, including contracts with healthcare professionals, clinical studies, licensing and commercial transactions.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
  • Good document drafting and proofreading skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
