Mission

The Global Partners Markets Senior Director will be responsible for driving the worldwide partners business, its maximization through successful partnerships, making available Almirall’s medicines to patients worldwide. The Global Partners Markets Senior Director will be responsible for business performance achievement of current partners and identifying potential new business opportunities to ensure growth of the international business. The Global Partners Markets Senior Director will report to the Chief Commercial Officer Europe &International.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Drive the International business outside of our MCs through partnerships
  • Maximize the value of our legacy portfolio worldwide (current key products being Airtal, Ebastel, Ciclopoli, Macmiror and Imunorix) & new portfolio (Seysara, Finasteride,Terbinafine, Physiorelax and pipeline)
  • Lead a high-performance team, the Global Partners MarketsDepartment, committed to deliver the targets and maximize the results of the area
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure the materialization of the business with the corporate values and teamwork spirit
  • Define the business strategy and plan for global partners markets business within the framework of the P&L BusinessPlan
  • Management of +60 partners in around 100 countries, with a scattered portfolio while concentrated at the same time (top 5 partners account for >50% of the business)
  • Close monitoring of the Partners, marketing and medical strategy, sales performance, commercial efforts and investments to deliver the P&Land KPI targets
  • Close contractual follow-up of partner’s commitments, mitigation plan and proposed actions
  • Accountability of the P&L for the Global Partners business and deep monitoring of the P&L: monthly, quarterly and annually, actuals vs BU (budget), LY (last year), demand plan
  • Close collaboration with the supply/demand teams to ensure coordination and commitment of orders, deliveries and avoid out of the stock situations
  • Identification of new business opportunities with partners and roll-out of Almirall’s portfolio, new products and pipeline
  • Lead and ensure materialization of contractual negotiations of license-out agreements with the legal department, aligning internal and external multidisciplinary teams (QA/RA/PV/tax/finance/IP)
  • Thinking out of the box and “go beyond” spirit to identify new potential sources of growth and improvement areas to gain more agility
  • Participation in congresses and pharmaceutical events related to potential new business opportunities (CPHI& other)

Education

University degree (science, business or legal), of particular advantage complementary training such as MBA.

Experience

  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in Partners/alliances management, International commercial operations or business development areas. 
  • Language skills: fluent level of English both oral and written. Other languages are a plus
  • Experience in leading and managing HPT (High Performance Teams)
  • Seasoned experience in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Availability for travelling abroad
