Mission
Responsible for the Global Medical Training Strategy (focus on Global Brands), the development, implementation, and active management of training projects to increase the competency level of all Medical & Market Access functions and the transfer of knowledge to other Commercial and Marketing functions, while being aligned with our global training governance.
This includes management development, advanced and recurrent training, as well as additional development programs in close collaboration with various internal and external business partners to establish learning and development processes that include comprehensive and continual assessment of stakeholder needs (learning tools and resources, program, technology, and metrics).
Core responsibilities
- Build a comprehensive Global Medical Training strategy in close collaboration with the corresponding Global Brand Team.
- Boost internal capabilities of Medical Affairs team (global & local), linked with our Medical Excellence roadmap (in close collaboration with People & Culture).
- Ensure Global Training Governance is implemented at global & local level.
- Define a holistic approach of Medical Training Strategy and define clear KPIs accordingly.
- Define clear training objectives, expected impact to the teams and assess the implementation (ROI).
- Make training needs diagnoses with the different Market Companies and Global functions (with a focus on Medical and Market Access area).
- Contribute to GBP, in close collaboration with global brand team.
- Plan the training related to the learning objectives defined.
- Contact external suppliers/ experts and actively collaborate in the planning, design, and delivery of content, preparing and adapting the contents of the necessary courses to fulfill our objectives.
- Structure training “look & feel” for the maximum profitability of time designed to deliver learning objectives (aligned with the overall Global Medical Training Strategy).
- Provide and/or facilitate training in collaboration with the global brand team (Medical, Marketing, Commercial) depending on learning objectives.
- Adequately monitor learnings delivered, by using appropriate tools and identify gaps (if any) to be addressed with a clear dedicated action plan to improve training process.
- Audit the training when it is taught by an external consultant.
- Manage and prepare training actions taught by internal personnel.
- Structure the monitoring of the application of training in the workplace.
- Continuous update, of content (manual and on-line courses) of the global products and therapeutic areas, and preparation of continuous training related to your area of responsibility, using tools available.
- Support congresses or symposia that can favor the acquisition of knowledge, in those cases in which it is possible.
- Teamwork within the Global Medical Training team (Managers) by providing to the team strategic vision and support decision-making process
- Teamwork with other departments, such as Medical Affairs (incl. Medical Excellence), Market Access, Marketing, Commercial (including global & local training responsible), People and Culture, Corporate, Compliance, etc.
- Strategic input to contribute to fulfill Almirall ambition for 2030.
Required education and experience
- Degree in Health Sciences.
- 8+ years of training or related experience in the biopharmaceutical or health related industry.
- Proficiency in English.
- Train the trainer’s solid expertise.
- Experience with training strategy, methods and programs within Pharmaceutical or Health industry.
- Up to date on trends and changes in the market, customers, and technologies.
