Mission

We have a great opportunity for a GMI Associate Director to join our dynamic GMI team, based in HQ. Reporting into the Senior Director NPP & GMI, this role will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the strategic brands, together with the Global Brand team, and recommendations to ensure new launches reach their full potential. They will coordinate with the brand focused GMI members to deliver strategic analyses of various markets (particularly in Europe), focusing on the competitive market environment, competitive positioning and our customers (both behavior and perception) in key strategic disease areas across multiple brands. 


As a key member of the GMI team, the GMI Associate Director will work closely with various teams including Global Marketing, Global Market Insights & New Product Planning, Market Access, Global Commercial Operations and Market Companies.  He/she will incorporate critical insights from market research, competitive intelligence and analytics, into product strategy, market risks & opportunities and product performance to ultimately help guide commercial strategy and decision-making. 
 

Tasks & Responsibilities

· Provide a strategic vision of the dermatology market and provide valuable insights to enable strategic commercial decision-making for strategic brands
· Coordinate with the brand focused GMI members with regards to market and customer data analysis and insight generation, forecasting of our marketed products and future launches, and launch performance
· Evaluation of pipeline and business development/LCM opportunities
· Develop understanding and events in the dermatology arena
· Monitor external pharmaceutical industry activities
· Monitor the performance of our products (dashboards and sales monitoring KPIs)
· Provide competitive intelligence information to monitor the competitive landscape and to estimate our competitors’ strategies (both pipeline and commercial strategy)
· Conduct market research to understand decisions made by our customers
Present to senior management

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Health Sciences required. Graduate degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred (PhD, MBA, or MS). 

Experience

· Minimum of 10 years’professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or related strategic consulting services sufficient to have developed an understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
    · Experience with market research, analytics and forecasting, especially for the Rx pharmaceutical industry
    · Experience in strategy development and interaction with customers.
    · Experience in strategic marketing and new business development preferred.
    · Experience in dermatology and/or immunology preferred.
    · Experience leading teams.
    · Experience in vendor/agency contract negotiation.
    · Knowledge and understanding of drug development process
    · Familiarity with strategic and business planning processes

Specific Knowledge

    · High level of English fluency, excellent verbal and written communication skills
    · Understanding of drug development and commercialization process
    · Familiarity with strategic and business planning processes
    · Analytical skills
    · Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI.
