Mission

We have a great opportunity for a GMI Forecasting Senior Manager to join our dynamic GMI team, based in HQ. Reporting into the Senior Director NPP & GMI, this role will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the forecasting strategy for Almirall strategic products, providing a strategic vision of the dermatology market and recommendations that will help to ensure new launches reach their full potential. The GMI Forecasting Senior Manage rwill also coordinate with the brand focused GMI members with regards to forecasting, market analytics and launch performance, and present and discuss forecasts with Senior Management from HQ and affiliates.


As a key member of the GMI team, the GMI Forecasting Senior Manager will work closely with the Global Brand team, including Global Marketing and Market Insights, and with Market Access, Global Commercial Operations and affiliates, to integrate their input in forecasts and ensure alignment on forecast assumptions and other critical analytical assessments. He/she will also provide critical insights into market risks & opportunities that may impact performance to ultimately help guide commercial strategy and decision-making. Forecasting will need to consider the competitive market environment, competitive positioning, and our customers behaviors and perceptions in key strategic disease areas, and will incorporate insights from market research, competitive intelligence and analytics. Geographic focus in Europe and US, although may be extended to other regions or countries in some cases.  


Keys to success are superlative communication, consultative, and influencing skills predicated on a strong foundation of forecasting expertise, quantitative technical skills, and proficiency in interpreting primary market research and secondary data analyses. 


The GMI Forecasting Senior Manager will also support the New Product Planning team in market sizing and the development of forecasts for the commercial assessment of disease TPPs, New Business Development opportunities and pipeline projects, in collaboration with Market Access, M&A and Licensing teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities

· Coordinate and implement forecasting strategy for Almirall strategic products, ensuring process and models standardization.
· Provide a strategic vision of the dermatology market and provide valuable insights to enable strategic commercial decision-making.

· Coordinate with the brand focused GMI members with regards to forecasting, market analytics and launch performance. 

· Continuously evaluate the accuracy and performance of forecasts to refine forecasting models and improve accuracy over time.
· Leverage market research and data analysis, integrating insights into the models and assumptions.
· Work together with Global Commercial Operations to hand over forecasts to affiliates and coordinate forecasting between HQ and affiliates.
· Evaluation of pipeline and business development/LCM opportunities.
Lead presentation of forecasts and strategic business cases to key global stakeholders including senior leadership. 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering or other quantitative focused studies required. Graduate degree in a Healthcare, Business, Mathematics or Engineering field preferred (PhD, MBA, or MS).

Experience

· Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in healthcare environment, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry and/or related strategic consulting services, preferably in a global role, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. 
· Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in forecasting for the Rx pharmaceutical industry.
· Experience leading teams.
· Experience in market insights generation and interpretation, data analytics and market research.
· Experience in strategic marketing and new business development preferred.
· Experience in dermatology and/or biologics preferred.
· Experience in vendor/agency contract negotiation. 

Specific Knowledge

· High level of English fluency, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
· Expertise in building forecast models, implementing best-in-class forecast modeling approaches.
· Understanding of drug development and commercialization process.
· Familiarity with strategic and business planning processes.
· Excellent data mining and modelling skills in MS Excel or other tools.
· Ability to understand and interpret information from pharmaceutical data sources (IQVIA, claims, etc.) and other epidemiological data (Kantar, DRG).
· Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI.
· Basic programming skills (e.g., R, Python) preferred.
· Machine learning familiarity would be a plus.
