Mission

Reporting to the Corporate Communications Executive Director, this role will have crucial accountabilities in the corporate communications function – supporting the organisation in achieving its ambition to become more visible and recognised as a leader in medical dermatology.

 

The key responsibility of this role is the development and execution of a digital communications channel strategy and plan which is aimed at enhancing the awareness and credibility of Almirall’s corporate brand and enhance employee engagement. The digital channel strategy incorporates several external and internal platforms, including websites, social media channels, newsletters, email, and will be aligned with the company ambition, long term strategy, and business priorities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy creation, planning, and execution of the creation of corporate comms content (incl. corporate brand, science and pipeline, and products) in close collaboration with Marketing, the Omnichannel team, R&D, Medical Affairs - following a PESO approach
  • Develop an impactful content calendar for the company, tailor content to deliver high quality assets for successful digital communication based on audience and channel insights (including campaign content, disease awareness, corporate and therapy area-specific content, videos and other digital assets).
  • Provide strategic support on digital communication to the corporate communications team.
  • Monitor trends and audience engagement and provide detailed analyses of our web, social media, and further digital marketing activities to gauge the effectiveness of the organization’s digital strategies. Continually adjust and improve based on measured insights.
  • Develop detailed campaign briefs for internal and external teams to create and deploy relevant and compelling digital content (in part in collaboration with external partners such as patient associations, medical societies, partner companies).
  • Delivering in a dynamic, high-pace environment, swiftly react to external and internal changes and adjusting the communication approaches accordingly.
  • Lead agency engagement and resourcing (and other third-party suppliers), manage budgets appropriately to deliver high value comms outcomes and digital channel management.
  • Supporting the Corporate Communications Executive Director with insights, trends, measurements, and planning for the digital channel ecosystem.
  • Create and maintain an effective network with the in-market Comms leads to ensure appropriate support for local digital communication strategies and activities – key focus on European markets.

Education

  • Academic degree in either Communications, Digital marketing, Business, or life sciences.

  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in digital communications (with a focus on channel strategy and implementation, measurement, and real time optimisation)
  • Significant experience working in a customer-facing industry, ideally healthcare or FMCG (experience working in a highly regulated industry is beneficial)
  • Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Campaign, WordPress, robust SEO knowledge (first experiences with AI tools beneficial)
  • Proven expertise in developing, implementing and measuring digital communication strategies and programmes to support achieving business objectives (targeting internal and external audiences)
  • Experience in digital issue management preferred.
