Mission


The Commercial Excellence Country Engagement Manager (externally named as Commercial Excellence Specialist) is responsible for increasing sales effectiveness through the deployment and adoption of commercial tools and processes for the assigned markets and Business Units. This role works closely with Commercial, CRM specialists, Sales Operations, IT and Marketing. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with local affiliate management and to have influence in local Commercial Excellence matters (e.g. SF performance metrics, etc).
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide specific support to assigned countries in Commercial Effectiveness matters such as definition of sales structures, alignments, definition and calculation of I&C plans, and SFE analytics among others
  • Collaborate with country stakeholders to understand business requirements of key strategic projects related to Commercial Excellence, champion and represent voice of sales feedback on tools and processes to remove barriers to execution, harmonization and improve our SFE tools and processes. 
  • Understand & balance country business priorities & ensure CommEx support is delivered accordingly and in alignment with global guidelines and policies
  • Collaborate with CommEx business expertise team on specific delivery for the business lines (e.g. Biologics)
  • Collaborate with capability excellence to share country insights and inputs to advance capabilities (e.g. CRM change requests)
  • Train country users on solutions operated by capability excellence teams
  • Ensure proper use of corporate commercial tools at local level (Veeva, PowerBI, etc)
  • Definition and review of main commercial processes at local level and ensure alignment with global guidelines and policies 

Required Profile


 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/IT/ Engineering/Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in life sciences environment, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry and/or related strategic consulting services on Commercial Excellence / Sales effectiveness
  • Strong knowledge, tools and processes for Sales performance metrics, targeting & segmentation, Incentive & compensation, and pharmaceutical commercial processes (sales, sampling, etc) and large data sets
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or Veeva CRM would be a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools. Ideally knowledge of Microsoft data management tools/databases (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at different levels in the organization.
  • Capacity to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Proficient in English and German as a plus
