Mission

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Advanced Analytics Senior Manager to join our dynamic Global Marketing team. The Advanced Analytics Senior Manager will work across the Dermatology portfolio and integrate big data and advanced analytics into all key market data and analytics projects at a cross-disease, cross-country, portfolio-level thereby supporting and enriching our decision-making with predictive/prescriptive analytics. You will be tasked with defining a roadmap to introduce advanced analytics approaches; including predictive/prescriptive analytics, AI/ML, leveraging different data sources (e.g. IQVIA market data, RWE and claims data, market research etc.) to answer key business questions related to commercial forecasting, performance analytics, etc. By truly integrating the different data sets available and executing on the advanced analytics roadmap, you will deliver new business insights and drive fact-based decision-making, thereby showing the added value of integrating advanced analytics into the insight generation approach. You will also create comprehensive dashboards and present insightful reports to management, and help drive the adoption of advanced analytics techniques within the broader organization, shaping the analytic capabilities for the future and hence accelerate the organizational transformation to prescriptive analytics.

This is a global role reporting to the Director of New Product Planning & Global Market Insights that requires close collaboration with various teams including within Global Market Insights, Global Marketing, Market Access, Global Commercial Operations, the Digital Office, affiliates etc. The GMI Manager will need to be proactive and work closely with the other team members to help shape the GMI team of the future by integrating more advanced techniques and helping to elevate our service offering within the organization. They will lead problem-solving sessions with key stakeholders centered around data and advanced analytics, counseling leaders and providing guidance around problem structuring, interpretation of analyses and action planning. This role requires proficiency in PowerBI, Excel, and data visualization tools to drive data-informed decision-making within the Marketing team. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Define and execute a roadmap for introducing advanced analytics techniques and methodologies, including predictive/prescriptive analytics and AI, into our day-to-day insight and analytics approach, to deliver new business insights and drive fact-based decision-making. 
•    Collect, organize, and maintain marketing data from various sources including CRM systems, IQVIA market data, RWE and claims data and other marketing tools. Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and validation.
•    Responsible for data analysis and insight generation, big data integration, predictive and prescriptive advanced analytics including statistics, to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform marketing strategies.
•    Create interactive and user-friendly advanced analytical frameworks/dashboards, using PowerBI and Excel, to democratize data usage across the organization and to provide actionable insights for the marketing team and management, instilling a fact-based data-driven decision-making culture in the organization. Continuously update and refine dashboards to reflect the most current data and insights. 
•    Foster adoption of advanced analytics techniques within the organization. Teach and train the organization to use advanced analytics and elevating GMI deliveries
•    Assist with building sophisticated forecasts of our marketed products and future launches
•    Monitor the performance of our products (dashboards and sales monitoring KPIs), forecast performance through predictive analytics, and recommend remedial actions through prescriptive analytics
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Marketing, Commercial, and other stakeholders, to support data needs and ensure alignment on data-driven initiatives.
•    Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations of data insights to the management team using PowerPoint. Communicate complex data findings in an easy-to-understand manner to various stakeholders.
•    Develop understanding and knowledge of key events in the dermatology arena and monitor external pharmaceutical industry activities by building automated alert systems using AI/ML techniques.
 

Education

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics or Health Sciences required. Graduate degree in a healthcare, data science, math/statistics, business or economic field preferred (PhD, MBA, or MS).

Experience

•    Proven experience in a data analysis role, preferably within a Marketing department.
•    Experience identifying the key business questions to ask to the data, to help data scientist leverage on advanced analytics techniques (ML, AI, …) and, together, deliver meaningful business insights
•    Experience with advanced analytics, big data, statistics, designing and delivering complex BI/Analytical projects with high quality and right timings
•    Experience in healthcare environment preferred, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry and/or related strategic consulting services sufficient to have developed an understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. 
•    Experience with market research, analytics and forecasting. 
•    Experience in project management and vendor/agency contract negotiation.
•    Capacity to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, including IT and other technical teams.

Specific Knowledge

•    Proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and predictive/prescriptive analytics.
•    Ability to understand business needs in cross-functional / cross-country environments to deliver analytical solutions with strong impact on business.
•    Familiarity with various data sources (e.g., IQVIA market data, real-world evidence, claims data). Ability to integrate disparate data sets to create a holistic view for decision-making, interpreting complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
•    Knowledge of machine learning (ML) algorithms, artificial intelligence (AI), and their applications.
•    Familiarity with tools such as R, Python, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
•    Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics drug development process. Knowledge of dermatology and/or immunology preferred.
•    Familiarity with strategic and business planning processes.
•    High level of English fluency, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
•    Advanced analytical skills, including statistics; proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI.
